Carlyle has acquired the Dainese Group, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of protective equipment for motorcycling and dynamic sports under the Dainese, AGV e TCX brands, from Investcorp and the Group's founder Lino Dainese.
Established in 1972 and headquartered in Vicenza, the Dainese Group has engineered and patented pioneering inventions in the world of safety and protection, including the back protector and the first wearable airbag for motorcyclists. AGV, founded in 1917 and acquired by Dainese in 2007, is a leader in motorcycling helmets, while TCX, acquired in 2020, is manufacturer of motorcycling shoes and boots. The Group currently operates 36 destination stores across 7 countries, employs more than 1,000 people and is present across EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
